So anyhow… We went and picked up a thing or three at Walmart. Needed some taters and asparagus to go with crab cakes from Ward’s Seafood.
Got half a pound of honey glazed turkey at the deli for sameches and the gal hit it right on the spot. Exactly half a pound. All kinda talent and that’s a talented deli gal.
So we get at the check out. The lady is cheerful and friendly as usual. Heck, even had a gal bagging our groceries! Don’t see that much anymore. Like going back in time when they used to roll your cart to your car. Course, I always slipped ’em a quarter for a tip.
So anyhow… We check out. As we walk by another register, I hear this guy trying to flirt with this nice looking gal at the register.
He says , “Oh! You’re so cheerful and have such a wonderful smile!”
I kind of slowed down . Well, I already walk slow. So, I guess I about stopped. I start laughing cause this gal had on a darn mask!
I’m thinking, “Seriously? You’re a guy wanting to flirt during a pandemic. You’ve had months of quarantine to think about your flirting skills , or lack thereof, in this case and that’s all you got? I mean come on dude! If you’re going to flirt, at least spend some time to come up with some new material!”
